Nothing will ever be perfect. It may appear that things are for some people when you look at social media and watch tv. But remember that they’ve been edited and modified and planned to look that way. That’s not real life!
You have to take action if you are going to get better, there’s no way around it. Continuing to do the same thing in the same way will return the same results. And clearly, that way was not 100% perfect for you.
If you feel like you need help immediately call a friend or a family member or the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255 or 911 and keep calling until you find someone who will listen.

It’s a tough thing to do! We are all different though and need to learn what’s best for us in different situations.
Sometimes it’s best to react immediately and other times it’s best to wait.
At least take a few breaths!

And just because they’ve moved on from you doesn’t mean they’ve given up on you!
Sometimes the greatest act of belief in someone is to “move on” from them. Quite often we use others and they use us as a crutch but once the crutch is removed, we often times realize that we can stand on our own and so could they!

And that’s the tricky part. When do you wait and when do you leap?
There is no definite answer other than you have to try and you have to be OK with missing the leaping point at times and leaping and missing at other times.
You’ll make mistakes but you’ll get better at it and be better for it!

It can be difficult to believe that there is a solution to our problems when we search so long and hard for one.
Solutions are out there though. You will find one. Sometimes, you need to take a break from searching and allow one to come to you. Sometimes, you need to look in the opposite direction. Sometimes, you need to just try something drastically different.
You will find one!

Some people jump right out of bed and they are ready and excited to start their day. If you’re like me, saying bye to your bed for the day or until your first nap in a few hours takes time and can make you sad.
One way to cheer yourself up is to make funny faces at yourself in the mirror. You can tell your bed about them later!

I want everyone to like me. I’m not sure why you wouldn’t want to be liked by everyone ... but the reality is that not everyone will like you.
So, just know that, accept it and don’t expect it. But it’s fine if you still want them to!

We’re not perfect, we make mistakes, miss doing some things, forget and mess up some times.
I always gave up when I missed a day. Sometimes I’d be on a long streak and then miss a day and the thought of starting over crushed my spirits so I just stopped all together. Next thing I knew I had the same streak of NOT doing it going.
Then I realized that while 9 out of 10 wasn’t perfect, it still gave me the opportunity to go 10 out of 11, 29 out of 30 and so on. And even if I went 28 out of 30, that’s still pretty good.
Now obviously this doesn’t really apply to certain things that are life threatening but I think you get the point.
Don’t throw away the progress you made because of a minor hiccup!

I think a lot of us that are suicidal or depressed get caught up in thinking and overthinking about what will make us better. At a certain point though, we just need to try things. If it doesn’t help or doesn’t work then that’s fine, you tried, cross it off your list or try it a different way. Thinking and planning is fine but at a certain point, we need to try.

We all probably heard this from adults when we were kids. It seemed hard to believe for some of them, they must have completely forgot what it was like. When I was suicidal and starting out to be depressed, I had completely forgot as well. I think most of us in that state have forgotten, we only feel the pain and the emptiness of the present. Some of us had tough childhoods, but most of us can trace back to some time when we were kids and happy and full of the desire to live. Try to think back to that time. It may give you some hints as to what you can do now to move away from being suicidal or depressed.
